About Us

Summit Trade s.r.o., a distribution company, was founded in 2012 by Ján Blažej and Hana Pokorná out of a pure passion for outdoor sports, especially ski mountaineering. And that passion still burns. Today, we rank among the largest Czech distribution companies in the field of outdoor sports such as ski mountaineering and rock climbing.

Ján Blažej always had a clear vision that Summit Trade’s role was not only to distribute products but also to provide advice, select the right products, allow them to be tried before purchase, and, above all, educate the public on safe mountain practices. That is why we constantly strive to educate you, our business partners, so that you can pass on the word to our mutual customers.

We are a distributor of premium outdoor brands

Currently, we import premium outdoor brands into the Czech Republic and Slovakia:

  • ORTOVOX (the world’s top manufacturer of avalanche equipment, clothing, and backpacks for ski mountaineering, freeride, and high-altitude hiking),
  • Mountain Equipment (a British manufacturer of climbing clothing, backpacks, and down sleeping bags),
  • black crows (now an iconic ski brand from Chamonix),
  • Climbing Technology (an Italian manufacturer of climbing equipment),
  • Tenaya (the world’s third-largest manufacturer of climbing shoes from Spain),
  • Fritschi (precise Swiss ski mountaineering and freeride bindings with a strong emphasis on safety),
  • Kohla (crampons from Austria),
  • E9 (a fashion brand from Italy dressing climbers of all ages),
  • TSL Outdoor (a French manufacturer of snowshoes and poles).

We operate with the ORTOVOX and Tenaya brand in Hungary as well, and similarly with Black Crows, for which we have also expanded into Poland.
